Holden has learned to communicate yes and no by shaking his head (and he's trying to say the words). Turns out, he now likes NO, much more than yes. He shakes his head NO to just about everything we tell him to do. "Holden, take a bite"...NO. "Holden, it's time to take a bath"...NO. Holden, can Mommy have a kiss?...NO. Let the fun begin:)
As strange as it sounds, I am enjoying this new, yet challenging phase. I'm not saying there are not times that try my patience, but I thank God that Holden is doing so well that we're now experiencing "normal" infant things! So bring on the terrible twos little Monkey. After the 18 months we've had, Mommy can handle just about anything.

We all prayed for Holden to get to experience these things... toilet seats and all. I LOVE seeing him with his freedom! I have also learned that the boys tend to find the grossest things in record time no matter where you are. I have to keep those bateria wipes in a holster on my hip! Wouldn't change a thing though.

Yep, terrible twos can be fun and exasperating. Holden will continue to assert his independence by exploring anything and everything. Just love it that he likes to dunk his toys in the toilet - that seems to be a fascination for little boys. Go Holden Go!!
