It has been over four years now since Holden joined our family. His journey started off bumpy and he's had to overcome some health challenges. But the Little Monkey continues to fight his way to becoming strong and healthy. We are so blessed to have him as our son. He inspires us and melts our hearts every day. Thank you for joining us on this journey. We've appreciated everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Baby Holden Update

Mommy thinks Holden looks adorable in his little sleeper today!

He is doing great. He continues to maintain his body temperature without any support from the warmers. His vitals remain strong, even as the doctors slowly wean him off of the high pressure nasal cannula. The little booger likes to pull the prongs out of his nose - as if he wants to show us he can do this on his own! Mommy and Daddy are very proud!!

He is handling his feedings very well and is beginning to show interest in the bottle/breast. He is slowing putting on weight, now weighing nearly 4 lbs. 10 oz. (compared to 4 lb. 3 oz. at birth).

The doctors say once they wean him off the high flow nasal cannula, he will either go on a regular nasal cannula or nothing, depending on how he is doing. If things continue to go well, they will likely soon move Holden to the 7th Floor NICU, which is one step closer to home! We all can't wait!!
