It has been over four years now since Holden joined our family. His journey started off bumpy and he's had to overcome some health challenges. But the Little Monkey continues to fight his way to becoming strong and healthy. We are so blessed to have him as our son. He inspires us and melts our hearts every day. Thank you for joining us on this journey. We've appreciated everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Baby Parker Week 29 Update

I hope we are not sending too many updates, as I know everyone is busy, but we did want to keep you in the loop on how Baby Parker is doing...

We had 2 doctor appointments today and things continue to progress well. Both the baby's and my vitals were good. The specialist did a biophysical profile, which is basically a doppler ultrasound that checks the velocity/circulation of the blood from the umbilical cord to the baby, as well as the flow through all of the major organs. Everything checked out normal and the doctor was pleased with Baby's Parker's movement.
They will recheck his weight/size next Wednesday.

Dr. Eller suggested one more week of bed rest from home, but does plan to admit me to Northside Hospital following next week's (1/16) appointment. The Munchkin will be right at 30 weeks. They will give me the steroid shots to help the baby's lungs grow and then just continue to monitor us day by day. As long as things continue to stay balanced, they will leave the baby where he is. If things start to take a turn for the worse, we will have to consider an early delivery. Of course the goal is that we'll be in the hospital, just being monitored, as long as possible.

So that's it for now. We'll send another update once I get situated in the hospital and have more news. Thank you again for the continued prayers. We are blessed to have such a strong support system of family and friends.

Love,
Christine and Reece
